Although you may think of floral prints as having more to do with spring and summer, the burgundy background of this bow tie helps it fit right in on this rainy day in Brooklyn. In trying to keep up with the pace of the rain, suede was definitely out of the equation unless you have a desire to kill any of your shoes. However, in being a good steward of my footwear, I opted for my leather wingtips and my feet were as warm and dry as they come.
LIFE NOTE: Even though I may have thought in my former years that umbrellas were more social objects than necessities, moving to NYC has changed my mind on the subject and with all the walking around, my umbrella has become a life-saver.
